Sass News Project Updates
Web Components are so hot right now
Hi everyone. I thought I would do a web components-focused issue. There is a lot of buzz around them right now and I see them as an incoming big wave in the design systems and frontend communities. I hope you enjoy!
Also, in case you missed it, the Sass docs got a big redesign.

The Mixin: SF Sass & Frontend Meet Up
In San Francisco? Come, hang out with us for The Mixin, our thirteenth meet up! This time, we’ll have the following speakers:
Sarah Federman, Sr Frontend Developer, Design Systems at Atlassian Talk: “Responsive Components with ResizeObserver” The long-awaited promise of container queries is to be able to change the appearance of a component based on the size of its container, rather than the size of the viewport (like we do with media queries). Although the goal is to have this be native CSS behavior, it's still a waysout from standardization. Luckily, there is a proposal for a javascript API called ResizeObserver that accomplishes many of the same things, and it's rapidly gaining browser support! Let's explore what this means for your components and how you can leverage it to fulfill the promise of container queries today.
Kaelig Deloumeau-Prigent, Design Systems Developer at Shopify Talk: “The State of Sass” (community update) & The Mixin Co-Organizer
Jina Anne, Design Systems Advocate Talk: “Sass Website Update” & Emcee & The Mixin Founder & Lead Organizer
